MIMOSA B6x
Mimosa B6x is the highest performing outdoor point-to-point solution in the free band. Thanks to its modularity, it is ideal for short-range, medium-range, and long-range wireless connections in the 5.15-6.4GHz band.
The radio is equipped with an integrated 8dBi antenna with the possibility of increasing the gain by purchasing one of the N5-X series “Twist” antennas separately, which includes two Horn models of 12dBi and 16dBi or parabolic antennas from 20dBi up to 36dBi for long distances.
Additional antennas can be installed on the B6x very quickly and easily by simply screwing them into the appropriate port on the B6x itself thanks to the Twist-on port in the waveguide, without the need for connectors or cables.
Dual radio with band aggregation
The Mimosa B6x radio is equipped with two independent radios with the possibility of selecting the frequency and channel width on each radio. The bandwidth of the two individual radios is automatically aggregated at the Ethernet level, effectively doubling the capacity on the Ethernet ports.
The two channels are used in TDD (Time Domain Division) mode on both selected frequencies and use two streams on two polarizations (MiMo 2x2).
Using both radios in this mode allows for the transmission of 4 data streams on two polarizations, enabling very high capacity.
FDD Full Duplex Mode
In addition to the standard TDD mode, typical of devices in this class, the Mimosa B6x allows you to select FDD (Frequency Domain Division) mode with different channel widths, allowing you to operate in Full Duplex mode.
Integrated Radio Spectrum Analysis
The Mimosa B6x can scan the radio spectrum, allowing you to obtain an analysis of spectrum occupancy on both the local and remote devices and display it on a single screen.
Both during initial installation and later, during optimization or maintenance, this allows you to quickly and easily identify the freest frequencies in the spectrum and, with just a few clicks, set them on the master device of the point-to-point connection to achieve maximum performance.
Assessing the integrity of the wireless link and identifying potential problems has never been easier.
Clear Advantages
- Double Reliability: Thanks to its dual radio, the device ensures native and automatic redundancy, further increasing the possibility of achieving maximum performance, especially in the presence of strong interference.
- 10Gbps ports and redundant power supply: The device is equipped with two 10Gbps SFP+ optical ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE_in 802.3at, and an additional terminal connector for redundant power supply up to 55Vdc.
- Frequency management flexibility: Improved usability with extended frequency support from 5.14 to 6.4 GHz and the option to use TDD or FDD technology.
- Ultra-rugged: Die-cast aluminum construction and IP67-rated design allow the B6x to withstand the harshest environmental conditions.
- GPS Sync: Integrated high-precision GPS Sync technology enables planned reuse of the same channels while continuing to add more capacity to more sites and optimizing the use of radio spectrum, which is always a critical and limited factor in free bands.
