Wisnetworks WIS-E5 is a high-capacity Access Point/Client in the 5GHz extended band that adopts the latest technologies and is designed for outdoor Point-to-Point Wireless applications for Backhaul, even over long distances, or Building-to-Building connections for data recovery or high-capacity network interconnection.
Other typical applications include Point-to-Multipoint Networks for internet access in “Fixed Wireless Access” mode and Wireless video surveillance networks.
This multi-operability is possible thanks to the very high data transport capacity, the possibility of using a wide range of frequencies in the free 5GHz band which, together with the high flexibility, make this product very attractive for companies that fight in Telecommunications Networks, WISP and ISP Providers, System Integrators and Installers who can find in WIS-E5 a convenient and reliable solution for their professional activities.
The WIS-E5 uses a powerful Qualcomm Quad A53 CPU @ 1.5GHz, has an operating range of 5.18-6.415GHz, and complies with the Wi-Fi 7 802.11be standard with 20/40/80/160/320MHz channel spacing, 2x2 MIMO, and OFDMA modulation.
Data rates up to 4.804Gbps allow for a true throughput of 2.3Gbps. It can be configured as a WDS AP, WDS Client in Bridge or Router mode, and wireless security protocols such as WPA/WPA2-PSK (AES/TKIP), 802.1q VLAN protocol, DHCP Server/Client, etc. are available. Network management options include HTTP/HTTPS, SNMPv1/2, SNMPv3, TR069, and SSH.
The flexible, modular, and scalable device is housed in an IP67 die-cast aluminum enclosure. It features both copper and fiber optic data communication ports and a waveguide antenna port that can be quickly and easily connected to a series of dedicated sector horn, directional horn, and parabolic antennas with gains ranging from 18 dBi to 36 dBi.
The WIS-E5 features an integrated dual-polarization base antenna with a gain of 8.5 dBi and can therefore be used over short distances even without additional external antennas. For data, there is a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port with PoE+ 80211at, a 2.5G SFP+ optical port, and an additional 12V DC power port with a terminal block.
The device can be mounted on a pole and fixed with metal clamps or directly on antennas compatible with the “Waveguide” circular waveguide port, it can operate at temperatures from -50°C to +55°C.
