Tachyon Networks 60GHz Scalable Modular System

The Tachyon Networks TNA-305x series with AK series accessories constitutes a modular and scalable wireless system that operates in the free 60GHz and 5GHz bands with unique features.

The system consists of a TNA-305 radio that can operate independently as an Access Point or "Base" Client, onto which AK series antennas can be "plugged" to create a high-capacity 60GHz system with integrated automatic backup in the 5GHz band.

The AK series antennas are available in various versions with different gains depending on specific needs, both for long-distance point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections with different radiation lobe apertures.

TNA-305x Base

The Tachyon Networks TNA-305x 60GHz radio is engineered with scalability and modularity in mind to provide both basic and advanced functionality using AK series accessories.

The TNA-305x maintains the same performance as the TNA-303x model but also integrates a 5GHz band radio and antenna for continuous service even in 60GHz band adverse weather conditions and an integrated GSPS receiver (w/ DGPS) with RPSMA connector for external antenna.

Tachyon Networks TNA-305x inherits from the TNA-303x model unique hardware features such as the 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port with PoE in, a compact waterproof aluminum case, can be configured as an Access Point or Client in the 57-71GHz band and in the 5.1-7GHz band offering capacities up to over 2Gbps with Fiber-like characteristics over distances up to 4km(*) without the need for excavations, permits or licenses, all with easy and fast pointing thanks to 3D beamforming technology.

The 60GHz antenna is a phased array scanning type with a gain of 16 dBi, an aperture of +/- 45° (90° total) on the horizontal plane (azimuth) and +/- 25° (50° total) on the vertical plane (elevation); the “Beam size” is 30° (azimuth) x 30° (elevation) expandable with optional AK series antennas.

In the 5GHz band, it is possible to use the integrated antenna with 9dBi gain or, with software selection, you can opt for an external antenna, with specific gain and aperture, using the two RPSMA connectors.
