138mm Pointer Tool for Tachyon Networks 60GHz

HOW TO USE IT

The TNA-AMT-138 is a pointer used to align Tachyon Networks TNA-303x and TNA-305x radios.
This tool is used during the initial installation to perform an initial visual alignment with the other antenna, in order to establish a 60 GHz wireless connection.

The TNA-AMT-138 is specifically designed for use with the TNA-AK-300 300mm-diameter parabolic antenna and the TNA-M-P precision mount when used with the radio; however, if necessary, it can also be used with all other antennas in the Tachyon Networks “AK” series or with the radio alone.

In general, in the 60 GHz band with a 2 GHz channel width, the minimum signal level required for two radios to “lock” onto each other is -70 dBm; therefore, it is necessary to perform an initial horizontal and vertical alignment (of both antennas in the case of a PTP link) until this level is reached and the connection is established.
The TNA-AK-138 pointer is very useful during this preliminary phase.

When the radios are connected, proceed step by step with fine alignment using the horizontal and vertical precision adjustments on the brackets to achieve the maximum reception signal (RSSI).

Once the alignment is complete, the pointer can be removed so it can be used on another antenna.
